Five of Wands
Five of Fire · a card from the Eutheum deck
- Upright
- competition, conflict, tension
- Reversed
- avoiding conflict, truce
Upright meaning
Rivalry, dispute, a clash of different views and ambitions. The Five of Fire doesn't have to mean hostility: it is often healthy competition and a test of strength from which something new emerges. Like the young people and Nubytes sparring with staffs, it's more of a trial than a war.
Reversed meaning
Avoiding conflict at all costs, or a dispute that has stopped being creative and become exhausting. Time to look for common ground.
Love and relationships
Quarrels, disagreements, tension that may clear the air. Reversed: weariness from constant bickering, or sweeping problems under the rug.
Work and money
Competition, different opinions in the team, brainstorming. Reversed: a conflict that blocks the work, a need for mediation.
The card's advice
Treat the dispute as training, not war. Whoever listens, wins.
In Natuland
Young people and Nubytes clash with burning staffs in a dusty clearing among red rocks. Sparks fly and staffs cross, but it is more a trial of strength than hostility.
Symbols on the card
- Five crossed staffs: rivalry and tension.
- Members of different peoples: different characters and ambitions.
- Dust and sparks: a conflict you can learn something from.
