The Hierophant

Zoltan · a card from the Eutheum deck

Upright

tradition, guidance, belonging

Reversed

rebellion, an unconventional path

Upright meaning

The wisdom of tradition, learning, guidance and values. The Hierophant points to a teacher, a mentor, or a proven path worth following. Like Zoltan, who guides travellers, the card says you don't have to discover everything on your own. Sometimes it's best to ask someone who has walked this road before.

Reversed meaning

Rebellion against the rules, a need for your own path, or blindly following rules that don't fit your life. The card asks whose beliefs your decisions follow: yours or someone else's.

Love and relationships

A relationship built on shared values, commitment, the traditional path (engagement, marriage, meeting the family). Reversed: different values, pressure from others, or an unconventional relationship that needs its own rules.

Work and money

Learning, training, a mentor, work within structures and institutions. Proven methods will pay off. Reversed: the limits of the system, a need to break from the pattern.

The card's advice

Look for a guide, or return to the values that truly matter to you.

In Natuland

Guardian of the Dome. He is the one who brings the champions to Natuland and teaches them to master their power. On Earth he looks like a short, old-fashioned gentleman with a little beard; in Natuland he walks as a big white dog, but that is not his only form. His loyal companion: Wafer the parrot.

Symbols on the card

• A triple crown: knowledge of many worlds.
• A hand raised in blessing: passing wisdom on.
• Crossed keys: access to what is hidden.
• Two kneeling students: learning and tradition.
• A white dog and a colourful parrot: the guide and his companion.
• Fractal shapes: the universe as a repeating pattern, of which everyone is a part.
