The Moon
The Tunnel of Doom · a card from the Eutheum deck
- Upright
- illusion, fear, the subconscious
- Reversed
- clarity, released fear
Upright meaning
Uncertainty, illusions, fears, and what hides in the dark. The Moon says not everything is as it seems, and your intuition and dreams have something to say right now. Like the Tunnel of Doom, whose terrors are not entirely real, the card encourages you to walk through the fear instead of running from it.
Reversed meaning
Illusions fading, fears weakening, the truth coming to light. Or you may be suppressing anxiety instead of understanding it. The way out of the tunnel is close.
Love and relationships
Lack of clarity, uncertain feelings, something left unsaid, or idealising the other person. Reversed: doubts cleared up, suspicions dispelled, a sober look at the relationship.
Work and money
An unclear situation, incomplete information, caution about empty promises. Reversed: things become clear, hidden problems come out and can be fixed.
The card's advice
Don't make important decisions out of fear. Walk through the dark without stopping in it.
In Natuland
The only way to the Dome. Everyone who enters it meets their greatest fear. Nothing in the Tunnel is entirely real, but you have to go through it.
Symbols on the card
- A moon with a face and falling drops: the world of dreams and the subconscious.
- Two towers: a gate between the known and the hidden.
- A dog and a wolf: the tame and the wild side of nature.
- A crayfish climbing out of the water: fears rising from the depths.
- Mirrors full of illusions: fear that shows what we are afraid of, not what is.
- A path deep into the tunnel: the only way is through.
