Page of Wands

Page of Fire: Wafer · a card from the Eutheum deck

Upright

enthusiasm, exploration, news

Reversed

setbacks, lack of direction

Upright meaning

Enthusiasm, curiosity, and a desire to act without long deliberation. The Page of Fire brings good news, a new passion, or an idea that fires the imagination. Like Wafer, the colourful parrot who rhymes and raps and turns out to be invaluable at crucial moments, the card speaks of the joyful, brave energy of beginnings.

Reversed meaning

A flash in the pan, scattered focus, whims, or sulking when things don't go your way. There isn't enough patience to see things through.

Love and relationships

Flirting, fun, a new acquaintance full of energy, youthful enthusiasm. Reversed: immaturity, changeable feelings.

Work and money

A new idea, a course, an internship, a first opportunity. Reversed: inconsistency, too many things started at once.

The card's advice

Follow your curiosity, but finish what you start.

In Natuland

A big, colourful parrot, Zoltan's assistant. He rhymes, raps and takes offence every few minutes, but at the crucial moments he turns out to be invaluable. His real name is Fafell, though hardly anyone calls him that any more.

Symbols on the card

• A staff with a flame and leaves: enthusiasm and new ideas.
• Salamanders in the fire: the element of fire.
• Desert and mountains: an adventure waiting.
• An open beak: a message to deliver.
