Queen of Pentacles
Queen of Earth: the Nubyte Hostess · a card from the Eutheum deck
- Upright
- practicality, nurturing, abundance
- Reversed
- self-neglect, smothering
Upright meaning
Care, hospitality, practical wisdom, and looking after home and loved ones. The Queen of Earth combines warmth with good sense: she feeds, protects, and knows how to take care of everyday life. Like the Nubyte hostess, wary of strangers but wonderfully hospitable, the card speaks of generosity and a safe, cosy home.
Reversed meaning
Neglecting yourself, overwork, too much care for others, or materialism. Look after your own needs too.
Love and relationships
A caring, warm person, a relationship that gives a sense of security, a home full of life. Reversed: overprotectiveness, trouble with everyday home life.
Work and money
Sensible money management, working from home or with people, plenty. Reversed: exhaustion, neglected finances.
The card's advice
Look after yourself and your home as tenderly as you look after your guests.
In Natuland
An older woman of the Nubyte people. Nubytes are small, with bodies covered in shimmering scales, white hair, and eyes with horizontal pupils. They are wary of strangers but wonderfully hospitable, and they love music and dancing. They live in houses that look like halves of a nutshell. It is from the Nubytes that the group receives tretugas and supplies for the road, and one of their women gives Lily a pebble that warns of danger.
