The Tower
The Fall of Fifthburg · a card from the Eutheum deck
- Upright
- upheaval, revelation, sudden change
- Reversed
- delayed change, averted disaster
Upright meaning
A sudden shock that tears down what was built on bad foundations. The Tower announces a breakthrough, a truth revealed, or a change that can't be stopped. Like Fifthburg, which seemed impossible to conquer, the card shows that even the strongest walls can fall, and after the fall comes a time to rebuild: stronger and truer.
Reversed meaning
A crisis you are avoiding, a change put off, or a shock that turned out gentler than feared. The card asks whether it might be better to face the truth now.
Love and relationships
A sudden change in the relationship, the truth coming out, a quarrel that clears the air. Reversed: suppressed tension, a crisis hanging in the air.
Work and money
A sudden change at work, a plan collapsing, an unexpected expense, but also a chance to build something better. Reversed: avoiding a necessary change.
The card's advice
Don't cling to what is shaking. From the ruins you will build something truer.
In Natuland
Fifthburg, a sandstone city on a hill surrounded by waterfalls, with a single road across a rock bridge, seems impossible to conquer. Until the night the Dragote army attacks from a place nobody expected.
