Wheel of Fortune
The Portal · a card from the Eutheum deck
- Upright
- change, cycles, fate
- Reversed
- bad luck, resisting change
Upright meaning
Change, cycles and a turning point. The Wheel of Fortune says everything keeps rolling: after a hard time comes a better one, and opportunities appear suddenly. Like the stone rings of the Portal turning around, the card announces a move into a new stage, often a happy and unexpected one.
Reversed meaning
Stagnation, resistance to change, or bad luck that seems endless. The card reminds you that the wheel turns anyway. The question is whether you will let it.
Love and relationships
Destiny, a chance meeting, a sudden turn in the relationship, often for the better. Reversed: repeating patterns, the same mistakes in one relationship after another.
Work and money
New opportunities, a lucky coincidence, an improving financial situation. Reversed: temporary difficulties, changes beyond your control.
The card's advice
Be ready when the wheel turns. The opportunity will come unexpectedly.
In Natuland
The passage between Earth and Natuland: a tunnel of huge stone rings turning around a shared axis. On the other side everything looks the same, and yet different laws apply. People also travel across Natuland through space-time tunnels, and there is always a little risk in that.
Symbols on the card
- Turning rings: the wheel of fate, which never stands still.
- A sphinx with a sword at the top: balance above all change.
- A serpent going down and a jackal-headed figure going up: fall and rise, following one another.
- Four winged creatures with books: constancy amid change.
- Travellers on stairs leading into the light: a change you have to step into.
