Nine of Wands
Nine of Fire · a card from the Eutheum deck
- Upright
- resilience, persistence, a last stand
- Reversed
- exhaustion, defensiveness
Upright meaning
Persistence, vigilance and the strength to endure. The Nine of Fire says you have been through a lot, and although you are tired, you are close to your goal. Like the guard with the bandaged head at the edge of the camp, the card asks for one last effort, but also for caution.
Reversed meaning
Exhaustion, a mistrust that closes you off from people, or a feeling that you can't go on any longer. Allow yourself rest and help.
Love and relationships
Caution after being hurt, a wall that's hard to take down, a relationship that has survived a lot. Reversed: fear of another disappointment.
Work and money
The final stretch before success, persistence despite obstacles. Reversed: burnout, a need for a break.
The card's advice
Hold on a little longer, but don't fight alone. Ask for support.
In Natuland
A tired guard with a bandaged head leans on a burning staff at the edge of a camp on the steppe. Behind him stands a fence of burning staffs, and a Nubyte has sat down beside him. He isn't resting yet: he is keeping watch.
Symbols on the card
- A bandaged head: wounds that haven't taken away his strength.
- A fence of burning staffs: boundaries successfully defended.
- A Nubyte beside him: support that stays.
