Strength
Dante's Flame · a card from the Eutheum deck
- Upright
- courage, gentle power, patience
- Reversed
- self-doubt, inner turmoil
Upright meaning
Inner strength, courage, and a gentleness stronger than force. Strength means taming your own emotions, fears and passions, not suppressing them. Like Dante, who learns that putting a fire out matters as much as lighting it, the card speaks of mastering yourself with tenderness.
Reversed meaning
Self-doubt, emotional outbursts, or bottling emotions up. You may feel weaker than you really are. The card reminds you that strength returns when you stop fighting yourself.
Love and relationships
Passion combined with patience and understanding. The relationship will survive difficulties through gentleness. Reversed: jealousy, quarrels, losing your temper, or low self-worth.
Work and money
Persistence, composure in difficult situations, winning people over with calm. Reversed: stress, lack of confidence, impulsive decisions.
The card's advice
Be gentle with yourself. Calm is your strength.
In Natuland
Dante, the champion of fire: serious and sarcastic, with eyes that burn orange when his feelings run high. He has enormous power, but for a long time he doesn't believe in himself. Lighting a fire comes easily to him. Putting one out is harder.
Symbols on the card
- A lion of fire tamed with bare hands: strength that comes from calm, not from violence.
- An infinity sign above the head: inner power without end.
- A garland of flowers and a white shirt: gentleness and pure intentions.
- A calm face: self-control.
- The Expeurs sign on his chest: the symbol of the power of fire.
