The Fool

Emil · a card from the Eutheum deck

Upright

new beginnings, spontaneity, freedom

Reversed

recklessness, hesitation, needless risk

Upright meaning

A new beginning you don't have to be fully ready for. The Fool is pure curiosity about the world, spontaneity and the courage to take a step before you know the whole road. Like Emil, who sets off into the unknown without understanding anything yet, the card encourages you to trust life and yourself. It points to an adventure, a journey, a new chance, or a chapter still being written.

Reversed meaning

Recklessness, or the opposite: fear that keeps you rooted to the spot. You may be leaping blindly and ignoring warnings, or standing on the edge so long that the chance passes. The card asks whether your courage is conscious, and whether your caution is needed or just comfortable.

Love and relationships

A fresh feeling, flirting, lightness and the joy of being together without big plans. For couples: time for a shared adventure and a refresh. Reversed, it warns against immaturity, avoiding commitment, or entering a relationship without looking at who it is with.

Work and money

A new job, a change of field, launching your own idea, an unconventional solution. With money: courage, but keep basic common sense. Reversed: impulsive spending, risky decisions without a plan.

The card's advice

Take the first step, even if you can't see the whole road yet, but bring what matters most with you.

In Natuland

An ordinary boy from Earth, Mia's classmate. He has wanted to get closer to her for a long time, but lacks the courage. One day he ends up somewhere he never expected to be. He understands nothing, and yet he takes a step into the unknown.

Symbols on the card

• A white rose: pure intentions.
• A bundle on a stick: everything you need for the road, you already carry with you.
• A little white dog: instinct, and a friend who keeps watch. In Natuland someone in the shape of a dog looks after travellers.

• A figure in the clouds: guidance you don't understand yet.
